This robot vacuum-mop is a good alternative for those who live in flats, as it carries the rubbish away in its own bin and uses the docking station that is smaller. The app lets you select different modes and monitor cleans, plus the mopping feature is awe-inspiring.
Its mapping, obstacle avoidance, and mopping capabilities are impressive. It picks pet hair, spills and dirt. It also self-empties and self-cleans and replenishes its water tank.
iRobot Roomba Combo
The iRobot Combo is a robot that is able to mop and vacuum. It's not quite enough to take the place of our current Editors' Choice, the Deebot X1 Omni, which is more efficient and has an easier-to-use mobile app but it does make an excellent alternative. It is able to pick up dirt from hard floors and carpets. Its obstacle avoidance isn't as sophisticated as other systems, like LiDAR or structured light, but it can prevent collisions in the majority of cases.
The Combo has the same features as the j7 Plus, including new acoustic sensors onboard to identify the type of floor and AI-powered navigation. However, it does not have the ability to adjust suction power manually. It's also smaller than the vac-only model, and doesn't come with a self-emptying dock.
The Combo is one of my favorites for homes with a lot of space. Its elegant design is also one of the most attractive I've seen in the industry. The matte black finish is more elegant than the glossy or metallic finishes of many competitors. iRobot also adds some classier touches, such as the leather tab that opens the bin on board and a shelf that can hold bags in the dock. The iRobot Combo makes it easy to create maps and set up Keep-Out Zones.
Roborock
While Roborock is comparatively new to the robotic vacuum and mop market, it's already established its mark thanks to a suite of innovative cleaning technologies. Its vacuums feature industry-leading suction capabilities, while the mopping systems of the brand include vibrating mops that help scrub floors to remove dirt. Furthermore, a range of mapping and scheduling options allow you to fine-tune the cleaning schedule of the bot to your specific home.
Another amazing Roborock feature is the obstacle avoidance which allows the robot to see objects lower than its height. This is particularly beneficial for Roborock's most well-known models, such as the Qrevo Master. It is the top of its kind in terms of navigation, thanks to vSLAM and LiDAR. Other robovacs have been known to run over pet waste and slam furniture with no awareness. The Qrevo Master, however, solves this issue by utilizing an AI system called Reactive that makes use of two cameras to see objects within the room.
